Podsystem has over 11 years experience in the telemetry industry. As such, we fully understand the challenges of M2M hardware and software, the complexities of our customers' businesses and the need for a reliable, secure and cost effective solution.
Before concentrating on SIM cards, we designed, developed and built a proof of delivery box to be used by engineers and delivery drivers. This physical box included a modem, barcode reader, sensors and other electronics to record each time a package was delivered or taken from the box and by whom.
After development costs of close to £0.5 million, we decided to specialise in the software we had written to handle telemetry devices rather than the hardware. As a result the Intellectual Property Rights to the proof of delivery box were sold in 2002. Since this date, Podsystem has become one of the leading specialists in SIMs and data cards. Some of our accomplishments to date include:
- Building and providing a proprietary location based system (LBS) mobile phone tracking solution
- Developing an application for a remote data management solution (for engineers & couriers)
- Building and running a managed customer hosting solution (incorporating raid 5 servers, failover systems etc.)
- Providing technical and management consultancy to various telemetry companies
- Building a proprietary billing and administration platform for handling SIMs
