Generator recovery leads to
other stolen assets:
With the assistance of 8 officers from Essex police and a
helicopter, our response officer traced a stolen £20,000
generator to an industrial site in Aveley, Essex.
Aside of the generator; a new Volvo flatbed truck which
was stolen two weeks before, a Komatsu mini-digger, 2000
gallons of diesel and a £5000 portable bowser were
also recovered.
The £100,000 of other equipment that was recovered
at the same time had not previously been found as their
tracking units’ antennas had been cut.

Generator recovered and another unprotected mini-digger:
A second £20,000 generator was recovered by our response
team in Watford. In addition, a Caterpillar mini digger that
was not part of the recovery remit was returned to its owners.

Location
of stolen asset pinpointed in 12 minutes:
Recovering stolen assets from a gypsy site is never easy as
it is often extremely difficult to find the stolen item. Gypsies
who had stolen a generator were surprised by the speed which
it took our recovery team to pinpoint the location of the
generator using a helicopter - 12 minutes.
The asset was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.

Assets recovered after coming
back into coverage:
Proving that stolen items can be recovered at any time with
the Mtrack, £35,000 of generators and other equipment
were stolen and taken to a location where no GSM coverage
was available. Three weeks later when the thieves tried on
move them the mtrack‘s immediately reported to our control
centre and recovery was made.

Stolen generator recovered
on its way out of country:
On route to the channel port at New Haven our response team
identified the location of a £30,000 stolen generator
within 40 minutes. A further £250,000 of other
stolen plant was recovered at the same time and returned
to owners.

Arrests in UK, France and Ghana
as a result of mtrack recovery:
3 lighting rigs were stolen from around the M25 and later
pinpointed to a location in Worksop. A further 9 pieces of
other plant and machinery were also found with the lighting
rigs. Further police action resulted in arrests
in UK, France, and Ghana, where some of the stolen plant
and machinery was being sold.

£660,000 fraud:
Department of Social Security fraud to the value of £660,000
uncovered, using Mtrack to trace claimant’s vehicle.
The claimant was arrested for fraud.

Major electronics company uncovers
internal theft:
After suspicions of internal thieving,
a major electronics company tracked, pinpointed, and recovered
an internal theft of digital video recorders, test instruments,
and tools. Losses to date totalled over £100,000.

Professional thieves of DVD
units thwarted in South Africa:
After installing an mtrack in a
slim-line DVD unit, one of the major DVD manufacturers located
the unit (after it had been stolen from their logistics provider)
to a township outside Nelspruit in the Northern Province,
South Africa. As a result 260 DVD units that had also been
stolen previously were recovered.

Internal theft co-ordinated
by manager in large UK courier company:
Following numerous thefts within
a large courier company, an mtrack was installed on equipment
which was subsequently stolen. This led police to the flat
of a company driver’s girlfriend. On returning to the
flat the driver told the police that the thefts were being
co-ordinated by one of the company managers. The manager was
arrested, and stolen goods to the value of £50,000 were
recovered.
