  Bogata, Columbia –
Lunchtime theft assisted by security guard:

After a lunchtime theft at the offices of the company Garantia Temporal in Columbia, Stealth Signal were informed of the loss of a number of computers fitted with the Stealth Signal XTool Computer Tracker.

After a short investigation SIJIN found that the signal was sent from the house of one of the building security guards. He was arrested and he quickly informed police that he had sold the rest of the equipment to a local pawnshop. All the equipment was recovered and returned to the owner.

Gilberto Gomez of Garantia Temporal stated:

“Thanks to Stealth Signal I have recovered the three computers that were stolen
from my office along with 2 telephone systems, and 1 VCR. Most importantly my office building was able to identify one of its full time security guards as an accomplice to the crime and I am happy to say that he no longer works in our building.”

  Sydney, Australia –
Executive caught stealing company computer
:

The shocked look on the face of the senior executive, of one of Australia’s largest home lenders, was apparent as he was presented with the evidence of his crime. He had stolen a new laptop from the desk of the companies IT Director and was unaware that it had been loaded with Stealth Signal Xtool Computer Tracker.

The software based transmitter that, once installed, forces a notebook or computer to send a locating signal via the Internet or telephone connection worked faultlessly when the thief reconnected it exactly one month later to his home telephone line and dialed into his Internet Service Provider account.

It was exactly what the Stealth Signal Australia recovery team in concert with the New South Wales Police needed to identify where the stolen notebook was and importantly who was using it.

The company, faced with the prospect of adverse publicity, elected not to prosecute the senior executive accepting instead his immediate resignation with the return of the stolen notebook as well as the unit he had been issued with.

Detectives from the New South Wales Computer Crime Group were disappointed not to have registered a conviction, in relation to the incident, but were impressed with the accuracy of the information and professionalism of the Stealth Signal Recovery Team.

"What is your concept of value? How important is it for your organization to recover a stolen computer, to know where your computers are at all times and be able to track their software and hardware stored on each?"
