Setting up a phone to be tracked is easy and ensures appropriate privacy for the user of the phone. After registering, (either on line, by phone or via our reseller) a text message will be sent to the user’s existing mobile phone asking for permission to start tracking.

On reply of a text message where the user agrees to be tracked (and only in hours agreed by the phone user), the location of the phone(s) can be searched via the web.

Each time a request is made to locate a phone, our systems interrogate the appropriate mobile phone network who pass a location back to us - which we then display. No interaction with the phone is required.

Accuracy varies, but generally in an urban area is 100m to 500m, in a suburban area is 500m to 2km and in a rural area can be 2km up. On the whole, we have found that wherever the phone is, it will be within 5 minutes drive of the location provided.

We are working at the moment to improve this accuracy to a few metres and to provide a global location platform.
